Has anyone else thought of storing dry goods... like rice, flour, pancake batter, potato flakes, baking powder/soda, powdered milk, beans, etc... in glass Snapple jars? A set of DollarTree funnels works great for filling them, they have a good airtight lid, rats can't chew through them, are cheaper than canning jars (just save them after you've have their wonderful peach iced tea!) and have an easy pour spout.
